Kinetic Typography

There is an interesting blog that I discovered today called Presentation Zen. The most recent issue discussed there was kinetic typography: moving text. If that sounds boring and ineffective, check out The Girl Effect, where this strategy is used to resounding effect in their intro video.

Recently I have been exploring the advertising scene in Dallas and stumbled across Starr Tincup, a media business that apparently thinks a lot of itself. One great development: their website introduced me to Seth Godin...whose blog I enjoy. Favorite posts include "Creating a clearance sale culture" and "How to answer the phone". Don't answer the phone unless you can make the customer happy? Sounds good to me.
